The Helix supercharger pulley is the best bang-for-your-buck MINI performance upgrade, period. After extensive road, dyno and track testing, Helix proudly offers to you the 15% reduction pulley. Its smaller size allows the supercharger to spin faster in relation to the motor by pumping more air into the motor and increasing power. In a stock MINI, this Cooper S pulley increases boost pressure by 3-4 ft/lbs. In a MINI with engine mods like intake and exhaust upgrades, boost is increased by 5 ft/lbs. In other words, the MINI Cooper supercharger pulley by Helix increases horsepower and torque substantially.
With the Helix 15% pulley, there's no rise of excessive heat buildup, even during prolonged track use. This is because the factory software settings in your MINI keep the fuel/air mixture only slightly leaner than stock, but still very rich. Also, factory emissions equipment like the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors work normally with the Cooper S pulley upgrade.
The 2-part modular pulley is CNC-machined entirely from 303 stainless steel. It bolts directly onto the supercharger shaft and doesn't require heat application or a BFH. The hub is universal for all of our MINI supercharger pulley sizes: stock, 15%, 17%, and 19% reduction. This makes it easy to swap different-sized pulleys.
