Product Description

Competition Edition

The MINI Competition Rear Sway Bar by Hotchkisis a massive 22mm, tubular, 4130 chrome moly sway bar that weighs only 5.5 pounds. Recommended for competition use only, it has three adjustment positions. The softest setting provides the most neutral balance; the middle setting eliminates the need for throttle feathering while turning your car at medium to long mid-corner speeds; and the stiffest setting provides great handling while making slow, tight corners. When using the Hotchkis sway bar at its stiffest setting, you'll only need to apply the throttle once during tight cornering.

Although handling characteristics may vary depending on your set-up, each position of the Competition Rear is very distinct and useful for different applications. The set comes complete with polyurethane bushings, bushing brackets and 90-degree zerk fittings for easy lubrication.

Sport Edition

Due to popular request, Hotchkis now offers the Sport Rear Sway Bar. The Sport style is a 3-position, 19 mm solid sway bar designed for both street and track use. It may also be used with the stock front bar on the MINI.

All three settings on the Sport are extremely useful if you attend track days. They're also great suitable for daily street use and don't contribute to harsh riding effects like larger bars. Most likely, you'll find find yourself using the hardest setting at the track and middle or softest setting daily commutes. The Sport adjusts easily and, in most cases, it can be accessed directly through your rear wheel spokes.

Both kits are powder-coated black. Lubricant should be reapplied to the sway bar every 12 to 18 months.
